Endau Beckons

A project that brought us to a beautiful land called Endau in Johore, Malaysia. Historically during the Japanese Occupation of Malaya and Singapore, the Japanese soldiers brought the Chinese from Syonan-To (Singapore) to this part of the world to start a farming community that would supply agricultural products to the army. The Chinese settlers were assisted by the resident Orang Asli and the Malays in farming techniques and housing. Endau has since flourished as a farming town till today.

They can only bring 'light things' like clothes, pillows and mats.

Love blossoms despite the hardship.

The land is a bit acidic and there are lots of worms attacking the padi at different stages of growth, so farmers have to be vigilant.
